Three Weeks Ago.....

Just sitting here watching Dave sleep, reflecting on the past three weeks. Three weeks ago to the day I was flying into Idaho Falls scared out of my mind, feeling like my world had completely crumbled. Those first days in the ICU were a haze, but I do remember knowing deep down that Dave was still there and would eventually make it back to us. After being in rehab for almost a week, it seems that he is exceeding all initial expectations. Although it will be a journey and he probably won't be on his bike until next summer, it has been amazing to witness Dave's resilience, motivation, and strength. And although the doctors and therapists are hesitant to make any guarantees, they do seem truly impressed with the Dave's recovery process so far.

I want to say once again, that we would not be where we are today without our friends and family, their support, thoughts and visits, their strength and positive energy.
