Dave took his first steps today with a walker (minimal assist), is out of his hospital gown and wearing an ACDC tee and shorts, and talking up a storm. Dave's sense of humor is SO there, amazing the guy can be so funny with everything that's happened. Sometimes he is right on, like recognizing Harlen and Liz, other times he is a bit off thinking he is flying around in helicopters. He is outta ICU and hanging out on the surgical floor till Monday, when he goes up to the sixth floor for inpatient rehab. Visitors coming over for a visit should call sarah or scott.
